ARMANI F U R N I T U R E

From Nature To Armani/Casa Discover The New Furniture Collection

Armani/Casa
The new Armani/Casa collection finds inspiration in the beauty of nature surrounding all of us, subtly taking on its eternally empowering sentiment. For the elegant designs it was of utmost importance to use eco-friendly materials, such as striped banana tree finishes gathered only after the crops were cut. Another standout material is the Japanese ash wood reminiscent of Zen gardens recalling in its grains movements of the same.
As always with Armani the new designs even when referring to classic furniture pieces, embody pure lines and simple shapes drawn with a contemporary edge in mind. The new collection was presented at Teatro Armani during the latest design week in Milano. For more images as well as the official note continue after the jump:

THE COLLECTION'S NEW PATHS
Art and artisan craftsmanship are a closely interwoven duality in Armani/Casa's vision of interior decoration. Thus, decorative pieces have been entrusted to the experience of Murano glassworks for flamed glass vases. This glasswork stands as a symbol of the collection, with its vortex of colours, colour being the dominating theme of the Armani/Casa presentation.
A zest for objets retrouvés, which represents a strong return to the world of artisan craftsmanship, is expressed in flecked vases, which appear to have a worn patina, a golden layer, and in lanterns, candles featuring Giorgio Armani's signature, and in modular marble candle holder bases and lacquered boxes.
A series of gifts enriches the collection, offering unusual and interesting objects like a magnifying glass housed in a leather pouch to be worn around the neck, and a useful accessory for straining tea. Of interest too is special tableware, where there is a gold-plated silver box for tea, marked with the seal of a rock under its lid a recurring theme throughout the collection.

ARMANI/CASA EXCLUSIVE TEXTILES BY RUBELLI
The aesthetic project that Giorgio Armani has been developing with this historical fabric company since 2009 for furniture presses forward with this collection, offering a range of earthy colours, interrupted by a bright orange, and where images of nature – orchids and stems – exude a vaguely nineteenth century physicality to create an evocative stylized gesture. Silk and wool give consistency and brightness to texture, which fades from a red gold into colder hues. The offer is completed by velvet, which accentuates the fabric collection’s appearance of exquisiteness.

ARMANI/CASA INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO
Since 2003, the Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio has provided complete interior design services to private individuals and property developers, from the conceptual phase through to the management of construction. The studio's work involves developing creative solutions – under the artistic direction of Giorgio Armani – that are the product of painstaking architectural research and extensive study into the project’s cultural, geographical and architectural context. In this way, the individual designs are developed to be perfectly integrated into their settings in terms of their features and aesthetic values. The Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio’s research impacts on the selection of all materials, colours and finishes involved in the fit-out, as well as on the design of the built-in or custom-made furnishings; all of this is to ensure each design is unique and in keeping with the client’s requirements.
Armani/Casa
The Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio's most recent prestigious projects have included The World Towers in Mumbai and the Maçka Residences in Istanbul. For the World Towers, a project in partnership with the Indian property developer Lodha, the Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio will manage the design and construction of the residences' interior as well as the towers' common areas. The World Towers also include World One, the tallest residential building in the world (117 floors) and World Crest, a shorter, identical building. Both of the buildings were designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Maçka Residences, a project in partnership with Astaº Holding/Bemes, consists of three towers occupying an overall surface area of 7,300 square meters in Maçka, a neighbourhood in the heart of Istanbul. The Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio managed the design and construction of the lobbies, common areas and some of the apartments within the three towers. The personalization of any apartment may be requested at the customer's discretion, to make use of the expert guidance of Armani/Casa's team of architects and interior designers.
