BEER BLOGGERS C O N F E R E N C E

2015 European Beer Bloggers Conference Heading to Brussels, Belgium

We are excited to announce the 2015 European Beer Bloggers Conference will take place in Brussels, Belgium on Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th. Registration is open now.BBC15
The conference agenda is coming together nicely. Live Beer Blogging will be hosted by the Belgian Family BrewersVisit Flanders, a regional tourism organization, will host Saturday’s lunch featuring Belgian foods paired with Belgian beers from some smaller producers. Our friends at Pilsner Urquell continue to support Beer Bloggers around the world as this year’s host of Saturday’s dinner. The Belgian Family Brewers will host dinner and a post-dinner event in Brussels on Friday evening. The conference will feature a pre-conference excursion organized by the Belgian Family Brewers and three options for a post-conference experience hosted by Visit Flanders. Our process of assigning good content and content providers is off to a good start as well with strong partners in the region, an active advisory board and a process that will allow us to understand what it is our attendees want to hear.
Belgium is known for many things but perhaps it is most famously known for its beer. Beer in Belgium dates back to the age of the first crusades in the 1100′s and the country has enjoyed an unparalleled reputation for specialty beers ever since. Today a vibrant tradition of beer remains strong within the Belgian culture. This culture and what truly is an absolutely amazing selection of outstanding and unique beers to choose from at many of the beer cafés and breweries make Belgium an ideal location for the 2015 European Beer Bloggers Conference.
The Kingdom of Belgium is a relatively small country of about 30,530 square kilometers but for what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in diversity and global significance. It is the founding member of the European Union and Brussels hosts the headquarters of the EU, NATO and several other important international and national organizations including one of the oldest associations in the world, The Belgian Brewers.
Conference attendees from around the world will find Brussels an easy location to reach. Most Europeans can travel via rail, including the high speed rail to Brussels. Those coming from outside of Europe should find plenty of good flight options to and from Brussels International (BRU) and if not they may want to look into flying into Amsterdam or Paris from which they can take the high speed rail. The Hotel Marivaux, our conference venue, is easy to get to from the train station or the airport. It is centrally located and offers our attendees excellent rates.
This year the European Beer Bloggers Conference has an Elite Partnership with the Belgian Family Brewers. They have done a lot to help us bring the event to their country and we will be working closely with them to assure our attendees experience an agenda full of strong content and excellent beer.
“Belgium is one of the only countries in the world that can claim an extremely Elite.BFBrich and diverse heritage in beer. The craftsmanship, knowhow and traditions have been passed on from generation to generation for many centuries. As the President of the Belgian Family Brewers, I am looking forward to welcoming you next summer in Belgium at the occasion of the 2015 European Beer Bloggers Conference. We are delighted to host the 2015 edition as an Elite Partner and are excited to present you the unique story of our Association with its 22 family breweries!
It is our conviction that you will be enchanted by our passion and beer culture throughout the EBBC15 program! We are all looking forward to seeing you in a few months from now…!” - Xavier Vanneste, President Belgian Family Brewers
We are looking forward to the 2015 European Beer Bloggers Conference, the beers of Belgium and beyond, and to sharing the experience with the attending beer media. Attendees have until February 28th to register for the event at a lower rate; prices increase on March 1. Space is limited so we encourage participants to take advantage of that rate and to register sooner rather than later. Santé
