Decorate

Turning your home into a sanctuary does not necessarily mean you have to completely redecorate. A statement wall in colours such as brick red, orange, plum or dark green can be enough to seep warmth into the room. There are some fantastic wallpaper designs available at the moment which focus on textures and colours to fit in with the contemporary perception of comfort. If you don’t want to commit to block colours, select wallpaper with touches of colour, which can then be accentuated with accessories in the same colours.

As the cosiest place in the entire house, the bedroom should receive the utmost attention when you are revamping your home. Think huge beds with thick, sumptuous mattresses, covered in over-sized duvets and the softest of cushions and throws. It can be difficult to decide what material your bed should be, but if you are searching for warmer elements to make your boudoir a cosy space, I recommend wood.
